About Memory
Continuous repetition has poor memory effects because the brain has short-term cache. Instead of continuous repetition, it's better to let it be forgotten, then recall it after a period of time. This deepens the impression and ultimately improves memory efficiency.
🌱 True memory is not achieved by rote memorization, but by the continuous reinforcement of the cycle of "forgetting → recalling → remembering again".
🔍 For example
The first time you see "ありがとう", your brain temporarily remembers it. But after a few hours, you start to forget, and when you see it again, your brain will think: "Hey, this word seems important, I've encountered it again, so I should remember it seriously."
If you just keep looking at it ten times in ten minutes, you might forget it all the next day. Why? Because the brain judges this as "short-term high-frequency contact", which is not necessarily important.
So, when memorizing, you might as well relax, let the content that should be forgotten leave an impression, quickly forget it, and then go through rounds of forgetting and memory alternation to achieve both easy and deep memory results.
