About Japanese furigana accuracy
Japanese furigana is remarkably flexible and complex, so OCAT employs a triple-AI system to pursue the highest possible accuracy:
- In the AI reply you receive, another AI supplies furigana in parentheses, such as "何の (なんの)".
- For sentences generated by AI, we send them to a second AI that produces sentence-level furigana and annotates them above the lines.
- When you tap to play a sentence, a third AI generates the spoken audio.
As you can see, we consult three different "Zhuge Liangs" for the same content. Even though these AIs are among the best large models in the world, Japanese remains so flexible and intricate that mistakes can still happen. Fortunately, comparing the three outputs makes it extremely unlikely that all of them go wrong at once. If one AI slips, you can spot it easily by checking against the other two and avoid memorizing incorrect content.
If you notice an error, long-press the relevant entry in your Collections list and select "Furigana or pronunciation incorrect?" to submit a correction.
This system delivers very high accuracy together with scientific fault tolerance—an efficient tool you can trust.
